I've been able to find four manufacturers/suppliers.
Give me some feedback about these. They are as follows: These are made in Canada and are $195 CDN (US $??). They're inserts which use the stock housing. I've sent several emails to them with no replys. Attached image(s) |

Well, I could be wrong, but I would tend to believe that the portion of the box reinforcement that wraps around the tube section on the other side of the arm may have slowed things a bit.
What I was trying to say at the outset was that reinforcement of the trailing arms in general is something I would advocate for a racecar. I don't know how other kits differ in design, but to me it's painfully obvious that this particular kit needs a design improvement. I'm hoping that the racetracks this car has seen do not have potholes and if there were, I hope the driver had the sense to avoid them. That particular arm saw several seasons of racing, during which the car made some mild contact with other cars and went off the track a few times, I'm sure, so anything's possible. Regardless, I don't feel that any action that car saw should have done such damage to the trailing arm. |
