would a bigger pressure plate in the clutch make my tranny smoother?
i have heard it will, but i have been told alot of crazy things... would it make it smoother out of first? thats really my only concern. will that make it less bumpy? would i be able to release my clutch a little faster? this is shaggy again i was logged on as john and didnt realize it... You cannot easily put in a bigger PP. 215mm is what fits.
You can put in stronger PP from certain early 911's, but that is usually for more power capacity. You can put in a 6 spring FD as opposed to the 4 spring, but I doubt you would notice. You should not have to rev to 3500 to take off. I think your clutch is dead. Your clutch cable tube may be going also. Fix the leaks, then fix the clutch. Make sure the machinist working on the flywheel knows how to do it properly, otherwise you will need a new flywheel. Replace all the small bits while you are in there, and especially the crank/flywheel bolts and washer. |
