A 1½" ABS plumbing 90° zip tied to the front suspension and aimed at the brakes.
I'll try it this weekend on the track. It won't hurt, remember that. rip away (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ar15.gif) KT Attached image(s)

I think that if you are SERIOUS about cooling the brakes, you would install squirters to squirt water at the rotors.
The latent heat of evaporization would provide plenty of cooling. If you were inventive (as I know you are), one could zip tie windshield washer nozzles somewhere in the vicinity of the rotors (say on the strut so they pivot when the wheels are turned) and aim the nozzles at the rotor. Just after a brake zone, you could hit the washer lever and give the rotors a squirt to cool them. PS. I hope to GOD that your brakes got warmer than you reported, or you would not have had very effective brakes. The only important temperature is the temp when heavily applying the brakes. Some people use temperature sensitive paint to test how hot the calipers get while actually braking. The paint changes color perminantly when heated to certain temps. Most race car part houses should sell temperature sensitive paint specifically for this application. Good luck |
