[QUOTE]'atsealevel914', I'm really interested in your cable shift setup and cv's. I'd love to know more info. [QUOTE]
My cable shifter is an MR2 shifter with two cables that go to the rear of the transaxle. how it works is the cables transalate the front and back and side to side motion of the shifter to the tail shaft of the transaxle. one cable makes the tail shaft move in and out when the the shifter goes front to back and the other cable makes the tail shaft spin clockwise and counter c. when the shifter moves side to side. A little fabication is required to mate the cables at the tranny end, its not that difficult. My rear axles from the outside to the inside are 911 hub,944 stub axle,944 cv joint, custon shaft, subaru cv joint on subaru trans. |
