I am putting a 2.0L exhaust on my 1.7L 914 and i was wondering do i buy the 2.0L cylinder head gasket or the 1.7L cylinder head gasket.

Do your homework on anealing copper. You'll see. It does soften the gaskets.

I have re-anealed many sets of *used* copper gaskets. They do soften up and seal better. Given my experience, I'd probably aneal new gaskets also. But I've never bought a new set.
