Bought a new 73 a few weeks ago, pulled the panels off after drilling out the rivets. They had been drilled before when the PO went Fi to Carbs, but he went and put rivets in again, only larger. The F***G holes are 1/4" dia. I went and bought some pan head screws to replace the rivets, but there they like a pimple on the end of your nose. I thought I would ive with it until I got around to painting it again then weld the holes. Any suggestions?
The good news was no rust... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif) |

Fuel injected cars had charcoal cannister to clean the air or something. I dont know the details on how they work, but I know my webers dont have a provision for them, so I yanked my lines too. Looks like someone did the conversion right if they went through the trouble of removing the lines and not just cutting them at the firewall! |
