I'll let you form your own opinions on the car itself.... my question is about the wheels. Are these Porsche Wheels? If so, I've never seen them before. If not... how did he convert a 4x130 lug pattern over to a 5x???... whatever that is. I brought that question up once before.. about buying an adapter that goes from a 4x130 to a 5x110 or 114....... no one makes them. The only adapters I know of are 4x130 to 5x130... but those don't look like wheels Porsche would make??? Did the car have a 5-lug conversion done to it........ then added adapers to fit this wacky looking wheel?? How'd he do this? Otherwise, I really like the side mirrors (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/icon8.gif) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-Porsch...1QQcmdZViewItem Attached image(s) ![]() |

I know... I read the auction..... I was just under the impression that a 4x130 could not be adapted to a 5x110 or 5x114 patter.
Someone on here said that the studs would be too close together... something about there not being enough metal between the studs and the holes, and it would be dangerous to use an adapter that did that, so no one made them. am I correct about that? I was under the impression that the only safe adapters for our cars were adapters to a 5X130 (because it utilizes an existing stud), or to another 4-lug pattern, because the 4 new studs are placed perpendicularly to the original ones. Am I correct on this? |
