I am in the early stages of setting up a 3.0 914 for a road course (track settings) - I have limited seat time but most of it has been in a 911

I would like to get a little more (some) rotation after the turn-in. As is, the car just ploughs (like a front engine understeer) on the edge of adhesion

I am running 8 inch rubber all around, turbo tie rods, stockish springs

outside rear compression too much?

I just got the car and already understand the attraction - I did a donut skidpad drill in a parking lot and no matter what combo of throttle and lift I could'nt break the rears

Idears?

got swaybars?

if so, back off the front bar (move it towards the *front* of the car).
if it's already full soft or if you don't have a front swaybar, get heavier springs for the rear.

until then, try to drop the tirepressure in the front and bump it up a bit in the rear ...


simple rule:

- if the front is lose, tighten the rear
- if the rear is lose, tighten the front

PS: all this, of course, only makes any sense if the car is aligned correctly and corner balanced first ...
