I just found out today that my stock side mirror has a cracked glass in it.
don't know if our recent cold spell caused a run, or if its been cracked since last fall, or most likely I'm just having a bad luck spell.... but anyways I need to replace the mirror-glass and have never done that before. anyone have a tech article or thread about this? can it be removed without damaging the stock mirror housing? How? the way these mirrors have skyrocketed in value, I'd really just rather repair mine than replace it... thanks for the tips and help. and hopefully I won't have 7 years bad luck! brant |

I found that the glass shops wanted around $40 to cut a piece of mirror--I guess it was too small of a job for them AA sells them for $11--just specify if you have 5 or 5.25 inch glass. The plastic retaining ring prys out very easy. |
