IT HAS A NEW OR REFORMATTED HARDRIVE!!!! anyway... im not going to write about how i almost got thrown out of best buy... or the loss of 40 Gigs of data, and a fair amount of legit purchased music downloads..... anyway.. so im SOL... computer is having them do the system recovery thing to try and see if they can save anything... kinda sick to my stomach thinking baout it.... so yeah. thats where i have been....................................... wishing i was im the bahamas as matt's thread says (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) |

They did the same thing to me.
Look on your "bill" no charge of course. Mine said they optimized my system by reinstalling software. And at no charge also. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/alfred.gif) Did you read your work order when you took it in, before you signed it? I bet you signed on the part where you declined the data backup. It would have cost you. I backed up, but missed a bunch of pictures my wife wanted (not that kind of pictures) and some music for my daughter. I was able to recover everything I could think of with this Recovery Software. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) You can run the "trial version" and see what it finds and then buy it if you decide to recover it. I am sure there are better progams out there but I figured the trial is free so I had nothing to lose. Also it takes a long time, like defraging 120M hard drive on a 486. I let it run all night. |
