Check out the pics of my new interior? Finally got most of it done and my new gauges are all working along with my interior lighting. Had to hide the still exposed wiring for the pics. What do you guys think of the wood dash? Really wanted carbon fiber but this was a much cheaper alternative. More of a cruiser than a race car - for the time being. Now the drive train needs some work, but so far so good!

Yeah, I'm likin it. The wood fits in nicely with the '70s look of the original interior. So what was the thickness of the panels ? Working with veneers takes some skill and some special tools, but its easy to find 1/4" cherry plywood that finishes up real nice, and I think woodworker's stores carry other hardwood-veneer plywoods also. In a few years, I might get around to working on my interior; I'll definitely keep this option in mind ! |
