So far, I've only had positive experiences buying stuff on ebay. You gotta pay attention to the seller's feed back rating and ask questions if you have any doubt about the item. (Last week, I almost bid on a 914 book that I had never seen before but I emailed the seller first and he said it was the German version of Brian Long's book, which I already have, but with a different cover photo). In the past, I got a great 12 page brochure for the '73 914 - not sure how I would have found it without the internet and ebay.
