I've been trying to educate myself about AARs and I keep getting frustrated. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Searching this BBS has been no help since your search term has to be at least 4 characters.

Anyway, does anyone know the technical specs (or differences) on the following Auxiliary Air Regulators (Bosch part numbers):

0 280 140 007 This is the one originally delivered in 914s and is NLA. The Porsche part number was 022 906 045.

0 280 140 101 for 73-74 2.0L according to Bosch

0 280 141 011 for 1.7L according to Bosch

Thanks

That's what spurred my interest. Bosch still makes the 0 280 140 101 and the 0 280 141 011. They are readily available at reasonable prices.

CIS water VW's had one too, there are probably recycling yards full of them, as well as available through reseller channels. those were typically 1,8-liter engines so should be a reasonable compromise... donno how much different they can be - how much air they flow, how fast the shutter closes ...
