Driving home the other day on a road trip, in my 914, I notice up ahead...on the other side of Interstate 94 (around Eau Claire, WI) an accident with a large number of ambulances and cop cars...lights flashing...the whole bit. WHY DO PEOPLE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ACCIDENT (SEPARATED BY A 100 FEET OF MEDIAN) HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO 25MPH?!! Sure, I get curious too...but I don't slow down at all...I take a quick look and keep driving...MY SPEED UNEFFECTED! The idiots ahead of me were stacked up like they were on a checker board so I unleashed a quick burst of 500 HP V-8 anger as I slalomed through the barricade of morons. Of course, one of the dumshits hit his horn as I flew past him. It's an Alice in Wonderland world now isn't it? The left lane is now the slowest lane...people speed up when you try to pass...etc etc (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

i think people should slow the hell down while driving past an accident on the highway.

I couldn't agree with you more Doc...but in the original post...you'll see that I'm complaining about having to slow down on the interstate because of moron dum shits that slow way down to view an accident that is on THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY! There's a 100 foot strip of grass separating the east & westbound lanes...and I have to slow to a crawl because some asshole is getting his rocks off looking at all the pretty flashing lights on the other side. I bet if you asked a highway patrol cop how many times he has seen an accident that is the result of an onlooker gawking at another accident...you'd be amazed how many times it has happened. People should pay attention to the 100-200 feet of concrete directly in front of them...don't let your attention wander over to the other side of the fucking highway...or you'll slam into another car...causing a new accident for people on the opposite side of the highway to look at. We just have a bunch of blood junkies, at least we have the HP to get the heck out of there. Just nail it and watch them get smaller in the rear view... Your so correct about how you can have a 3 mile back up for something like that, go figure, I say when in doubt hammer the throttle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)
