How about a forum that deals with what parts from different makes and models will work on the 914. Such as brakes, suspensions, lights, springs, wheels, switches, relays, ect. How many VW parts can be used? What parts from other Porsche, BMW, Volvo, and other european cars will work. What has to be reworked to make it work.

QUOTE(Dave_Darling @ Mar 6 2003, 09:21 AM) The front calipers are not the same as the Type III. But the Type III calipers are cheap... They are the same as the Type IV calipers, I believe. Which aren't nearly so cheap. (I know that the rotors are the same as the Type IV, not quite so sure on the calipers.) --DD See, we need a list! Dave, we are both wrong, but I'm right they will bolt up! Type 3 calipers 3/71-74 are (almost) type 4 calipers, Part number 311-615-107B and Caliper rebuild number 411-698-471. There are slight differences, but they are interchangeable. 66-2/71 Type 3 are ghia calipers part number 311-615-107-8A. These are the replacement late style (2-pin) as the early (1-pin) are NLA.
