Guest, maybe all who read/post should be registered? Options

With the activity of SS and others who are "guests" here and read all the posts maybe its time to have only registered members only on these forums?

The scams are getting old......


If "guests" want to read then they should register.

leave the info, news, etc crap open to anyone.

I don't think that there is any added security in signing up to view the forums. Who ever defrauded our members used a well thought out plan that would not have been stopped by signing into the forums, so there seems to be little point in it.

Tony (AKAVW) has an interesting idea, but it leaves open the same issue of account security. If an account, even a registered one, is compromised, then fraud could still occur.

I think some guidelines for sellers would be more appropriate. While not perfect, they would provide a good way to manage some of these issues.

Regardless of what we do, we will be playing catch-up, and we will be burned again. There is almost no way to prevent that from happening if someone really wants to scam us.

Besides, I am too busy with the son of General Okofo from Nigeria right now to get too bogged down with this. Once I am done, I will have enough money to buy us a token authentication system, that should be pretty safe.
