I know we have had some posts on lightweight batteris, but I cant seem to locate. What are you track and dedicated AX guys using? Links appreciated. Kicking off weight reduction phase II.

Now the interesting bit. For a dedicated AX / Track toy is it lighter to remove the charging system & replace with a Optima red top Or just stick with the lighwieght batteries? Not only lighter, but that pulley sucks some power from the motor. If removing it is 4 HP, that is a 5% gain alone in my stock engine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I've seen an odyssey drive dual electric fans in custom shrouds to cool both sides of the TIV, w/o case fan and associate pulley drag...carbed motor and not sure if alternator was hooked up either.
