This is a stock 2.0 muffler converted into a 911/914-6 style Sport Muffler. The tail pipe is cut off and covered. Then the new tail pipes are added. On 911s they also cut some parts inside, don't know if they did that here. I had this muffler made for me over 15 years ago by Alan Johnson in San Diego. It was $$$$$$, but worth it.
It sounds great, a little loud, but not as loud as a 914-6 with a sport muffler. It needs some more paint in this picture, but that helps you see what it looks like better. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-2-1064950046.jpg) (IMG:http://images.ajusa.com/products/000035.full_size.jpg) |

QUOTE(Rouser @ Nov 6 2003, 03:52 AM) I had one of those "modified" banana mufflers; way too loud and, with chrome tips slipped over the outlets, it looked too "VW/Karmann Ghia-ish." "VW/Karmann Ghia-ish." ... Ouch! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) maybe you'd like to come over and kick my dog too? |
