Since I'll be stuck in one of them newfangled Porsches, I won't be able to roll my 914. But it sure would be fun to see a few and meet some of y'all SoCal 914ers.

It's at the PAG headquarters in Irvine. I'll be there around 7:00 or 8:00 (depending on how early I can get my friend out of bed).

Turns out we won't be the only leaky cars there. Here's a thread with a download-able pdf file with directions.

Might hit up the R Gruppe guys over on Early 911S Registry.

Nothing, no nothing leaks like an army of split-case Porsches.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Man, I had so much fun running this year's 24 Hours of Lemons (in a team that did FAR better than we expected to) that I'd sure like to step up and do the 25 hours of Thunderhill someday... Perhaps something to talk about on Saturday.

Did you go with the "Lizards" ?? I had NO idea!! what a blast huh??

I recall when you and Ernie walked up to the Barbour pits at Sears in 00 when I was with them. I just barely knew who your were at that time.

Bill Pickering and I are talking about running a 1.7 914 or a BoxsterSpec next year for fun/seat time in the 25hr event.

No, no LeMons, not Le Mans. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Here: www.24hoursoflemons.com

The 25 hour would be a MAJOR step up, though our team did have an ex-ALMS shoe (ringer...) and there were a few other pros out there as well as several teams from the big mags like CandD, R&T, Automobile, Autoweek, etc.

Oh yeah, and a whole lotta hacks...

Even so, it was my first wheel to wheel (or should I say fender to bumper?) after many years of track days, etc.

Was really, really, REALLY fun...

Could be interested in learning more about your plans for next year's 25 hour gig. BMW will win this year, I'm guessing. 335i turbo diesel with backdoor factory support and Auberlen, Hand, and Said driving...
