Anyone have any good pics or info on how the 914 GT headlight mechanism (with the cable release) worked? I'd like to come up with something similar for my car if it's not too difficult. I have an idea of how I could fabricate the lift mechanism - I just wonder how they fastened back down when closed.

but I'm still going to use gas shocks to lift them and cables to pull them down...simply said |

if you would read...that's what I'M doing... but I'm still going to use gas shocks to lift them and cables to pull them down...simply said to bring 'em back down you'll need either a heck of a long pull or be pretty darn strong or have some tricky leverages....
