Ah, it would work great with that broken one as the new support has its own bronze bushings and no longer uses that part of the casting.

Side shift only.

The advantage is that it is a true no-slop shift linkage. Due to the way that the side shift rods must angle as they rotate, just tightening up the stock bushings leads to binding unless they are hourglass shaped, and then they have a very small contact surface.

This systems takes out all the binding in rear and supports the rod on both sides of the cup.

The front (firewall) is taken care of by a nylon composite spherical bearing, allowing the off axis motion and low wear against the new chromoly shift tube.

I will be selling the kit for about $460.

There is some fabrication required. I did not want to force you to replace parts that you already have and drive the price up further.

You will have to cut the solid portion from the front of your own shift rod where it attaches to the shift head and weld this to the new shift tube. It is not critical (+/- 1/4" or more in length and no rotational alignment needed), so it is easy to complete.

I do not (at first) plan to supply the tube portion between the u-joints. This is the part that will be bent for a 4 cyl, straight for a 6 cyl, and longer for a V-8. Because the u-joints allow rotational re-alignment, this portion of the linkage is not as critical as the original design, so "close" is good enough in making this part, as long as it clears everything.
