I've removed most everything from my car for paint. Some of the nuts, bolts and latches are dirty or have some light corrosion. I do not want to replace them or replate them but would like to clean them up before I reinstall. What is the best way to deal with light corrosion. Can you bead or media blast? Wire brush? Chemicals? Any help to bring them back would be appreciated.
Thanks, j. |

Any of those methods will alter the original plating and will cause them to corrode faster. The best method I have seen is to clean and replate.
