My 914 seat belt retractors don't work very well. I'd like to keep the retractable function. Does anyone repair the retractors? The belts and the rest of the harware seem okay.
Does anyone know anything about the eBay item # 330088556824 belts? Mel |

on my 1st 914 I got a set of nice belts from a 300D Mercedes, the rear belts worked nice. Made by REPA just the 914 units.
Now I just use my harnesses. Anyone ever re-tension the belts? Is there any great chalenge--like can you just tighten a spring by winding it a little tighter? Isn't getting to it/getting it out half the battle? I tried that with a old 74 Super Beetle. Funnest thing when that spring lets loose and goes everywhere. Like pushing a mad snake back in the bag pushing it by the tail. |
