You get right down to it you'll find the 356 & the 911 were compromises. The Doc wanted a mid-engine from the begining but it wasn't practicle to build or service. It's a fact that it's easier to work on my front engined truck over my 914s. Now there's an idea... a factory Porsche pick up. Can you say Craftsman Truck series?
