Bought this yesterday. Now I need a shipper to get it here from vegas, wife said no way for a fly in and pick up on my part. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It show's 38k miles, no rust, no factory undercoat (yeah!), one very nice respray in orig color. Hey Ferg! At least you're sticking to Red! This is the 1.8 from Evilbay, right?
The seller rebuilds 914's... he has a (supposed) 73 2.0 in pieces that he is also selling as is. I would be interested to know if your Red one is really lo miles, or mostly rebuilt... I know you will be able to tell when you get to take it apart. Something in the pictures made me think it had been extensively "redone". Let us know when you get it! I still miss my 73.5 911T!!! Have you ever heard how the fellow in Spain is getting on with it? |

Actually it's a 2.0, and it's all original, nothing has been touched except one respray. He was selling the "project" 73, another club member got that already. I won't know until I lay my hands on the car and look for all the tell tale signs if the miles are right or not. But the mechanic who just completed a engine out reseal and service says he would not doubt the miles one bit. I did talk to the Santiago recently, he's loving the car and it made the trip across the pond without incident. Ferg |
