I got this 76 from Rob Watson. It will be my driveable resto for a while to come. I drove it at 80mph (70 actual with my smaller tires) for about 2 hours to get it home with the wife following me. There were a couple small sputters on the way home, but the engine just purrrrrred along at about 3300rpm. ( I even got my first smile and head nod from a biker passing me on the highway) When we got it home there was a light speckeling (sp?) of oil over the front of my wife's car car, and so far I have only found a little rust damage behind the seats in the corners. Here are the pics of my new baby.

Great looking car. Nice color...5 lug is nice extra bonus too. Welcome (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

It looks like the car has had some repair to the clutch tube (see bolts where the cable exits the firewall). As sure by-product of rust. Check the longs carefully as well as all the usual suspect locations.

There should only be air coming out of that rectanglur hole. Keep looking for the source of oil. You will probably have to spray and clean the bottom to get dry, then drive some more and look for wet spots to find the source.

keep us posted!
