I just bought a VDO oil temp gauge , sending unit and a adapter to put it in with
the oil pres. sending unit. Two functions in one spot the only bad part is the two won't fit due to the engine tin having too small of a hole . So my big ? is is there another spot on the engine to install the temp. sender or do I have to cut some of the tin? And coming from a water cooled background what temp. should a 72' 1.7 w/carbs run ????? Thanks, jbart Attached image(s)

oil temp belongs on the taco plate.....
if you put it up there you will get a false reading (says aircooled.net) |
