it's dizzy rebuild time. never done this w/ the 914. does anyone have any advice on how to get that goddamn-little-bitty-itsy-bitty circlip out of the top of the distributor cam shaft? i've tried swearing. that didn't work.
i assume this is necessary in order to extract the weights down below. I'm pretty sure I use a very small flat blade screwdriver to pry it over.
For some reason.. I dont recall having to pull that piece out.. Why are you pulling the dizzy apart ?? I thought you had bad trigger points ?? Truelly rebuilding the dizzy requires shaft/bearing replacement. B |
