1986 3.2 Carrera engine....

I have two bosch fuel pumps here, they look identical...

Bosch part #

0 580 464 021

or

0 580 463 010

they look the same other than the part number

hmmm. My original '76 pump has a check valve. Pressure stays up for probly 15 minutes after the engine is shut off. Isn't that a checkvalve? Jim

Have you a picture?

My late style pump has no check valve. It does maintain pressure until it bleeds back through the pump. (well it did until I put a 3.2 in there)

No. No picture. It looks like yours- one nipple at each end, no return nipple. It's original to the car.
