what new o.e.m. quality (raised compresion) piston/cylendars out there for my 1.7? what oversize can i go to (without heating problem or case/ head machining)?

93mm will turn your engine in to a 1.8, at stock i believe they made the same horsepower as a stock 1.7. no real improvement, go to the 96's you will be fine on the heat angle. then use your 2 ltr heads. or split the case drop in a new 9550 or 9530 cam depending on fuel supply and run cooler than you ever have with more power if your not going to 96's stick with what you have 90's get your heads( 1.7's) redone by Len pickup the 2 pieces of 2ltr engine tin you'll need and enjoy |
