Think about this: You have to love a nation that celebrates it's Independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns ,tanks and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it's patriotism. Wish I could write this eloquent but it's from Erma Bombeck Enjoy your day with family,I will! And keep in mind those defending this country and our right to enjoy this day. God Bless each and every one of them. and keep them safe from harm! Dave |

Every Memorial day & 4th of July I always think of this picture. My dad was a WWII vet. We always had a big party of the 4th. That was the ONLY time dad would talk about the three years he spent fighting in the war.
