ok, stupid for not noticing this in the 5 or so months that we have owned this car....
once you put the key in the ignition, and turn it a little bit, the brake lights come on....and when you step on the brake, nothing changes....not brighter (or dimmer)... this is always like this, car on or off.....brake switch? any ideas? thanks alot -JON (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

something to consider is that you said car on or car off. Does that mean the brake lights are on when the key is in the pocket? If so it makes one think that there is a short feeding the lights as the brake lights do not operate unless the key is on. If key on only then the switch like said above is on the wrong side of the washer or is bad
