Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and have recently purchased my first porsche. A 72 914 2.0 fuel injected.

The car has been running great since I bought it a few days ago..and I've put probably 150miles or more on it. Today I was heading out for a drive and the accelerator stopped coming back out all the way..and the engine is revving now every time i start the car again. I'm not a mechanic at all, but am willing to look around and try to stop it until I can get it to the shop.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to stop the revving, so I don't blow the engine up.

Thanks for any info,
Joe
