this is my first engine pull on this car. ive never pulled a type4 or a mid engine car so it took me a few to get a plan together. everything was going just fine. until i got to the front outer engine mount. OMG! after about 2 hours of fighting a frozen front engine mount i was finally able to get a pickle fork up in there and beat on it to give me enuff room to take my sawzall to it. what a PIA. next time it should be way smoother. i hope.

i have one question. should this be a rubber mount? right now they are just long bolt in there. so it is solid mounted on the outside. the inner fronts are rubber and look to be about an 1 1/2" round in diameter and an 1 1/2" thick. did the PO micky mouse the outer front mounts??
