I hope that I'm wrong, but can't thjink of a worse place for a Parade. I do know Savannah - have been ther more than 20 times. Has its cute areas, but has the foulest smelling "street people" there is, especially in late July.
Redeeming values are several towns north in South Carolina, namely Beaufort and Hilton Head (short drives). Bluffton is cute, but doesn't know what it's identity is anymore. Savannah has the historic district, but Beaufort is far more historic. Would like to have been there for this event, but booked for Labor Day weekend at Hilton Head for over a year. No, this wasn't the right venue. Nor the right time. Noticed that it didn'r sellout. A first in my remeberance. Wrong choice dudes! Pat |
