My ignition switch key tumbler mechanism broke. The rear most part of the tumbler mechanism just desintegrated and now I'm down till I can find one.
I have complete ignition switch assemblies from later 914s, but they will not work on my '71. I even re-keyed one of them to match my key thinking I could use it to replace mine, but the early 70-71 switches are just different enough not to work. I tried every combination of parts of old and new and nothing will work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) I need the mechanical portions of the ignition switch and I'm not sure where to get the parts?? Does anybody have one laying around or have a 70-71 saw-zall candidate? |
