Today I was at Walmart looking for something to watch in the DVD section since it is pouring rain all day. And there it was: The Dukes of Hazzard, first season on DVD. I love that series. Riding around in the orange car, fightin the system. I am not really into American muscle cars, or country music and all that, but there is something about that series that I relate to. I remember when I was little, when that show was on TV, there was a black man who worked as a cook at my dad's resturaunt and he painted his car exactly like the General Lee. And it wasn't even a Dodge Charger! He must have connected with the show too.
BTW, in the first episode, they drive into a junk yard and there is a blue Karman Ghia in the yard. (IMG:http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0001WTWXI.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg) |
