Put my 914 side shifter (w/ZF ltd. slip) on the bathroom scale....90.4 lbs.
915/916 conversion trans. (mag case, alu.diff. cover, alu.rear cover and ZF ltd. slip) ....108.4 lbs. So, the weight penalty is not 40lbs. as I've often heard, but less..... like half that. There could be some additional difference in the flywheel / clutch package. |
