Ever since I did my SBC conversion, I've never been happy with the sharp turn the 1 1/4 gate hose had to take from the water pump to follow the bottom of the car. When the hose is cold the turn actually causes the hose to kink, but once the pump pressurizes the system the hose fills out and unkinks.

Anyway, what I need to do is add a 90 degree turn either with some pipe or a formed piece of radiator hose. I would appreciate some ideas how you would approach this.

Ideally it would be nice to have a curved piece of pipe welded to outlet on the pump, but not even sure if you can. It's made of cast aluminum I believe. This would then only require one clamp where the pipe would join the hose.

Alternately, I could purchase a 90 degree radiator silicone elbow but then would also need a union tee and multiple places to clamp.

In an old posting, I saw that someone said that Renegade offered a 90 degree tee.

Ideas?
