I noted this in my first post. I looked around the interwebs and found a couple instances with the same issue.

Note that it appears that the engine number appears to have six digits instead of 7. I'm not sure of the significance of this, if any.

I'm only basing the 7 digits on these guides:

Or is it a remanufactured engine and I'll see that mark if I clean off more gunk?
