Hi everyone. I got my first 914 this last weekend. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) She is a 75 1.8. I would like to thank Rich and everyone else at HP House. Now its time to sort through the problems. Not many yet. First. When I de-accelerate, There is popping or sputtering. Could this be the exhaust? The cat was cut out. Or is it the De-accel valve? Or something vaccum related? Second. On a very steep grade starting out in first. There was smoke from under the engine. I imediatly stopped and drove home. Havnt driven on any hills after that. Seems like the clutch hasnt changed. Is my car just way to underpowered for this? Or do I need to be looking at a new clutch very soon? Mabey I will post some pictures soon.
