I have been chasing a hard acceleration miss in my 2056 and think it may be that the points plate is binding sometimes. I can move it with my finger but I have a bad miss that starts at 3500 on up. I noticed today that it is not everytime and if I back out of it and apply the accelerator slower it tends to go away.

So I was wondering if there is a good tutorial or documentation of cleaning/rebuilding a distributor? How far does it get taken a part? anything I need to watch for?
