Hello everyone,im new to the forum and in Colorado springs,i purchased a 73 ,914 in the last 4 months. Its a project car and i want it to be my summer daily driver so im doing alot of work on it this winter.when i got it ,it did not run i got it to start after rebuilding the carbs(i guess i should tell you it has twin 40 weber carbs) only to find out that #4 cylinder held no presure.the intake valve was bent and would not close all the way,So no little task to pull engine and trans have heads machined and valve done and finally to get it back in after a few problems. But its in and now i cant get the gas pedal to work when i push it in it stays down or comes up very slow.ive checked the carb linkage and with the spring on it works fine.I checked down by pedale to see if anything is stuck i cant see anything?? im a bit lost i need some idea and its tough to find someone here whos can work on these cars.and on a side note i need to install the rear window what seals do i need pelican parts does not show one thanks.
