Found this in a Swedish mag from the mid 60's, they present the new Porsche 911 (named as 901) and show a picture of its engine. The text presents it as a 6-cyl boxer but clearly it is a 4-cyl version of the 6-cyl boxer.
I did not know there was a 4-cyl (prototype?) version at all, maybe it was ment for the 912? (It would have done well in the 914 as well he he...) E D I T: Excuse me looks like 3 carb troats so it should be a sixer , I did only focus on the number of spark plugs and did only see 2 of them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Thanks McMark! /Lars S (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.lsmteknik.se-10787-1434389790.1.jpg) |
