I took apart some spare '75 struts last night to get them cleaned up to send out for powder coating, upon cleaning up the spindles, I felt a small ridge on the lower half of where the inner and outer bearings rest on the spindle.
I then took a brand new wheel bearing and slide it on the spindle, I did not like how sloppy the internal housing was on the spindle...into the trash they go (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) I'm guessing the car these came off of had loose wheel bearings for many, many miles......... |
