This cheap and easy to use tool may help someone out there who is working on their wiring. I used this today to quickly "unlock" and remove four male spade connectors from their protective plastic housings on my foglight wiring harness.
It is simply a short length of 1/16 in. hollow brass bar stock that can be purchased at most hardware stores. I smucked one end with a hammer to flatten it. Slip this flat end into the protective housing so that it slides over the locking tab. Twist it slightly while pulling gently on the wire. It will flatten the tab and the wire should pull out easily. |
