I wanna get some opinions on axle setups for the last leg of my 6r.
The car is an original 6,but it now sports a 993 engine, and 915 gearbox. Every system on the car is now fully functional, and is fully roadworthy. The last item left now,is acquiring CV's and a set of conversion axles. I'm gonna buy a pair of Empi 930 race Cv's for the trans flanges,as in the photo. And I'm gonna contact Sway-Away to have 'm make me an axle setup. Now for the quexchun. What to do,with the out board cv on the wheel end?The original hub is a 914/6 unit .4 bolt setup w/a Lobro cv. Some recent discussion involved using 944 flanges wjich would upgrade to the 911 6 bolt cv. Should I maybe should I maybe find & Modify a better flange to fit,or is the original unit satisfactory to use,and just get a conversion axle made.
