My engine dropped a valve seat. Not cool. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
But Garold has donated his 1.7 to me so I can run it, while he disassembles my 1.7 to learn more about it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif) So the plan is to get the old engine out on sunday and get the new engine from Indiana somewhere, and bring it home and install it on monday and tuesday. I'm also planning to build a hot cammed 1.7, with Megasquirt and a raby DTM. Yeah yeah i know the 1.7 sucks and whatever, but all i need it for is to drive around town, and cruise 75-80mph. The DTM should keep the heads cooler and in the longrun i plan to build a 2270 (later down the road) and having a working megasquirt system should help things out quite a bit. b |
