My speedo cable snapped early last week, but I was able to get a quick replacement from Autohaus AZ at a great price. So, last weekend I put this forum's search feature to work, and read up on old speedo discussion topics.
The hardest past of the job was removing and reinstalling the center console. As you can see in the photo, there are 3 gauges and a battery pack tracker with RS232 serial cable. (It's an electric conversion). By the time I got to put the center console back, my patience was running low, and I was a bit rough on the wiring overall. Speedo works fine now, but I noticed on the way to work that my brake lights and turn signals have stopped working. Hazard blinkers work fine, though, as so does the 3rd brake light, flashing when the hazard switch is pulled. I need to work on this tonight, any troubleshooting help will be greatly appreciated.
