Where can I obtain bell crank, throttle linkage cables, rods, etc for a 3.2 liter DME conversion car?

I used the James Patrick throttle linkage kit, which eliminates the bell crank, uses a much shorter cable, and routes the throttle cable in close proximity to the heat exchangers. It's a much simpler system, but the problem is that when you get caught in a traffic jam and sit around idling for a half hour or so the throttle cable fries for lack of cooling air flow and the car becomes undrivable.

I was thinking about calling Otto's. I'll try tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

why do all that?

I just ran the throttle cable up and attached to the part where the cruise control unit sits.

much simpler and all you need is one of those lock nuts.

Are you not using the stock type setup (with the linkage stick or whatever it is called from the engine to the throttle cable), just the throttle cable directly to the linkage on the engine?

Do you have any pictures? This would seem to simplify things greatly.

I did the same on my 3.6 ... No linkage, just the cable routed straight to the TB. It's been working great so far ...

Did you guys use the stock 914-4 (or 6) throttle cable? And did you route it under the engine with any heat shielding or protection?

I'm using a standard bellcrank and stick on my 3.2 conversion, and although it works fine, I'm a big believer in making things more simple and eliminating potential defects. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I made my own linkage for the 3.2's that I do. The original design was done over 20 years ago with no issues.

Stock 914-4 cable (and barrel nut).....

I did not have to make any parts. Just attached a barrel nut to the cable to catch the existing bracket.

I have tried both options. The gas pedal is easier and smoother to push if you use the bell crank on the trans, since the cable doesn't have to bend. Running the cable directly to the motor works but the odd angles the cable has to go through makes the gas pedal harder to push.
